PHASE TWO, Week 10 - Log Time
See Norman above posing with some of OUR milled logs at log home company. See log miller guy below stacking our milled logs. Countown time is here! Our logs are due to be delivered later this week.
Welcome to our site. Things don't move quickly where we live, a pace of time here as well as an attitude known as "mountain time." It has to do with priorities, we think, and is something we've come to cherish. We hope you'll enjoy our experience of building our dream home in the mountains. Please feel free to comment on our blog and on the process.
DESCRIPTION OF HOME:
Our home will be a one story, three bedroom, two bath 2100 square feet with an open floorplan. The eastern bluff side is covered in glass and will receive the morning sun. It also opens up to a deck, hot tub, and two covered porches. The western "front" or entry area is accessed by a large covered entry porch.
A see-through stone fireplace divides the main area of the house, with the dining and kitchen area on one side and the great room (and bluff view on the other). The master bedroom and office also face the bluff. Hickory floors are throughout with ceramic tile in the mudroom, bathrooms, and kitchen. We also have lots of attic space that could also be used for a future bonus room or hideaway.
